Mechanical Licensing

New mechanical services licencing requirements commenced on 1 January 2020. The new licensing framework will be implemented in stages.

From 1 July 2020, contractors must be licenced to carry out mechanical services work.

​

From 1 January 2022, all workers must be licenced to carry out mechanical services work.

​

Your circumstances will determine your pathway to obtain the licence you need.

As there is a two-year grace period for workers to become licensed, no member need stress that their immediate circumstances are at risk.
